Tips and advise for our excursion trip participants

USEFUL INFORMATION

Climate / Elevation

Our summer excursion trip will be in June, which is the beginning of Mexico City's rainy season. Normally it is sunny in the mornings then could be rainy in the late afternoons to evenings. In the night time expect temperatures to drop and get colder. Mexico City is also situated on a high altitude, approximately 1.5 miles above sea level. This can cause mild nose bleeding to those who haven't experience high altitude conditions for a prolong period of time.

Clothing / Shoes / Gears

Trip participants should bring outfits geared towards a possible rainy day . Waterproof footwear ,umbrellas, jackets will all be an asset in the event of bad weather conditions.  A mild sweater or light jacket would be great for night time drop in temperatures. .

Smartphone / GPS Location

We recommend everyone with a smartphone to be equipped with roaming data. This data will be essential in using Google Maps to find our hotel, various restaurants, travel destinations and to view the overall map layout of this great metropolitan city.

Money

Most places in Mexico City will only accept cash in the form of mxn pesos and most international credit cards. Those traveling with U.S. currency will have to locate a Casa de Cambio for currency exchange.

Public Transport

Mexico City has one of the worlds most advance public transport system. These include a metro rail system , electric buses, taxis and uber service.
